A Christmas Carol (1984)

George C. Scott gives his own take on Scrooge,
making this a most enjoyable re-telling of Dicken's tale.
Plot:
Old miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge is visited by ghosts one Christmas eve in hopes he will change his ways, and find the true meaning of Christmas.

Scrooge's Gravestone can still be visited at St Chad's Churchyard.
HUMBUG!
This is the only version (and more accurate to the original story) in which Scrooge wears his shirt, pants, and vest with robe instead of the usual nightgown and cap.
Charles Dickens' first public reading of A Christmas Carol was at the town hall in Shrewsbury, the town in which this movie was filmed.
